Dear Newboldians,
I don't know about you, but I love the Christmas half term. There's nothing like it. Just to see the children's excitement as they are getting ready for their Christmas performances makes my heart glad. Christmas is all about children. After all, Christmas began with a baby boy in Bethlehem 2000 years ago. There isn't a heart that doesn't melt when our children get into their costumes and act out the nativity story. Also, let's not forget that all of the KS2 children will be going to London on December 9th to sing for Princess Alexandra at St George's Chapel.
On a more down-to-earth note, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has respected our school uniform code and has faithfully sent their child to school every day properly attired. Most of the children look smart and well presented. However, we are still having to issue a few non-uniform slips, so I would ask that those who haven't quite managed to purchase a full uniform would do so for this coming half term, including PE kit. If you need to be reminded of the uniform list, please check on the Skool Kit website.
Also, I would like to thank those parents who came to our work party day to help paint, tidy and weed. Your work was very much appreciated. Aiman, our caretaker, was very happy with the outcome. The children are now using the various games painted onto the upper playground. What a fantastic team we have at our school and how wonderful it is to be able to show our children how much we respect the school environment by giving it some much-needed care and attention.
Have a wonderful Christmas term everyone and may God be with you in all that you do as we lead up to the celebration of the birth of Jesus.
Kind regards,
Mrs Crissey
