Welcome back to school after a long summer break. It has been lovely to see everyone again and to catch up on what they have been doing over the summer. The school has been deep cleansed during the holidays and Year 3-4 classroom has been painted. Everything is clean and ready for our new school year. Our teachers have been planning and organising their lessons according to the new 2014 National Curriculum guidance. We are all set for an excellent year of learning. Already teachers are sending children to my office to show me the good pieces of work that they have done and the first of the achievement leaves are being placed on the achievement tree's bare branches every Friday. Parents are welcome to attend our Friday Achievement Assembly should they wish to do so.
Thank you, parents, for sending your children to start their year in smart, clean school uniform. Our girls are looking fabulous in their new kilts (just a reminder, all girls should be in their kilts by the week commencing 15th September). Don't forget that you can purchase uniform items online from SkoolKit. Just choose 'find my school' from the top options bar and then type in Newbold School. Only items from the school uniform list should be worn in school. Black shoes should be worn, not boots, and our children should wear their ties. We want our children to look smart to show that they respect themselves and their school.
As always, respect is at the centre of Newbold School life. Our hope is we will respect ourselves, each other, our teachers, our school environment and above all, God. Following these five areas of respect will result in happiness and harmony in all aspects of school life and our children will gain the best from their education with us in a safe and happy environment.
I am sure we will all have a wonderful school year together.
Kind regards,
Mrs Crissey
